Mr. Baby-Killing Fancy Pants Hijacks the Struggle

Okay, okay, this can't stir up as much traffic as the Black History Month post, but I just thought that the title should obscure the fact that I am going to talk a little more about race, homosexuality, and a lot about Civil Rights Leaders. I changed it from something that was too risque'. Just sucking up to my Google masters.

Is it just me, or do the homosexual rights lobbyists seem somewhat whacked comparing gays to people of color? We talked about physical traits beyond our control this past weekend and everyone seemed to agree with Dr. King. (Content of character vs. Color of skin)

Why would the leaders of the civil rights groups (read as the Rainbow Coalition, NAACP, AL Sharpton) embrace abortionists and homosexuals and put them in the same catagory as say a black person? Have we abandoned the fight for equality of the races to argue that discrimination is also about our opinions? Have these formerly religious organizations abandoned the principals on which they were founded?

Or, as has been previously argued here, have the leaders of these organizations jumped ship from championing the basic premises of their civil rights roots to simply do whatever is necessary to keep their mugs in the spotlight? Or to keep their token standing in the Party of Robert Byrd?

Julian Bond, Jesse Jackson, and Al Sharpton (Dammit Al, CHICKENS?) seem to be doing whatever in their power to diminish the organizations that they control while people who have slaved to pull the NAACP out of bancrupty get quietly, but summarily discarded. Yea, right, he "resigned". Does the name Kwesi Mfume mean anything to you?

Just wondering if I'm the only one that feels this way?

AS USUAL UPDATES: I have had a couple of very interesting debates with soundboyz over the last couple of days and it's been a great learning tool for me. Even though it seems that we have differing opinions on quite a few things, we have still maintained a very civil discourse. If two very opinionated people like us can debate issues of grave importance, why can't two more moderate folks do the same? Anyway, here's MORE fuel for the fire on our discussion. And soundboyz, just please agree that Al has completely lost his frigging mind. THEY ARE CHICKENS!

UPDATE REVISITED: soundboyz and I AGREE!!!!! Al looks stupid supporting the CHICKENS! There shall be world peace, RIGHT NOW!

I don't know where the "Do not judge" came from, Judge not lest you be judged, seems to mean to me that no matter what you WILL be judged.

That said, I am not aware of the innocent people that Republicans have killed or maimed and I think that if that has happened, they should be JUDGED harshly.

I do think that I have better morals than some people that I have met, although I have met some people who are my moral betters as well.

I know that I am 'guilty' of judging people because I choose to hang with some and shun others. That is a judgment.

Damn, soundboyz, I can't believe that you of all people could take the argument of GAYS=BLACKS. That is the same as saying people who play golf=blacks. Not to extrapolate that golf is akin to homosexuality but both are behaviors.

I think that everyone knows that I don't like the anonymous poster thing, but it does seem to allow for more posters. But, good points Mr/Mrs Anon.

And thanks for coming back, soundboyz.

Here's another little tidbit about these various Civil Rights Reforms and Acts.

Nowhere, I repeat, nowhere does it address anything other than Blacks in the Civil Rights Acts of 1957, 1960, 1964, and 1965.

I have continuously tried to find the text of Kennedy's speech of June 11, 1963, but have been unable to get the pages to load. Ironically, this was the 100th anniversery of the Emancipation Proclaimation which was given by Abraham Lincoln, a Republican who was not gay.

The Abraham Lincoln not gay comment will explain itself very soon, when a new documentary comes out that claims he was.

Homosexual revisionist history not unlike Alexander.

O.K. I see whats going on. It's take what soundboyz says and twist it around day. Judge not lest ye be judged means that you are NOT to Judge because you are also subject to be judged .....by the Almighty, not man! It's the same with the whole why point out a speck in someone else's eye when you have a coal in yours! All i'm saying is that nobody on this earth is qualified to pass moral judgement on another.I'm not saying gays=blacks, what i'm saying is that discrimination is discrimination no matter what the basis is for it!Homosexuality is more than a behavior, I believe that it is a trait that someone can be born with.If you are a female born with too much testosterone, you naturally have more masculine traits than a woman born with less. Same goes for a man, if he is born with too little testosterone,he may exhibit more feminine traits. This is not to say that SOME gays don't choose to be gay based on enviornment and other exteranal factors, because they do.However, people are people and deserve respect no matter their color , race ...etc. Also, Two Dogs...You are right the civil Rights act of 1965 did not deal with characteristics other than race, but it was later revised to include color, creed , sexual orientation , physical handicap, sex...Age.....Etc!It's like argueing with someone who knows all the right answers ,and knows how to twist the truth in a way that supports their points only!A lot of that is going on!

Sorry, if it seems like I'm trying to TWIST your points. This whole debate started from an idea that I had for ignoring any type of physical traits, ie: I HAVE A DREAM. My points have seemingly been perverted as well. soundboyz, you cannot legislate intelligence. No matter what anyone accomplishes,(Clarence Thomas, Dr. Rice, Christopher Columbus, Raphael) there will always be a small minded person that tries to drag them back to the group of mediocrity.

Yes, some people achieve more than others, it's just their nature. I do not think, shit I know, that I have not accomplished anything close to what Bill Gates does on a daily basis. Does that make him smarter than me? Obviously. Does that mean that I cannot aspire to accomplish what he has? NEVER.

soundboyz, minorities have gotten CONNED by politicians for so long, that they can't figure out what to believe. That's where this post started. 'Civil rights leaders' of today ain't no Dr. King. CHICKENS? CHICKENS? Come on!

Think about it.

Two Dogs.....you are trying to use a Utopian idea, the notion of no differences, and trying to apply it in the real world. It does not work that way! Yes, Dr. King did dream of a day when all races , colors creeds religions...etc. were treated equal. However, it was just a dream. You cannot expect the oppressed to live their lives the way they want things to be. They have no choice but to live in reality and the reality of it is that America is a racist society. It was founded on those principles.I know the Constitution granted equality and freedom to all men, however, if you just rationalize that some human beings are animals or 4/5 man or whatever, then one can justify the cruelty towards those people.I know we have come a long way, but it was only 40 short years that segregation existed. You want everyone to ignore the pink elephant in the room and pretend that everything is fair now!Everything is not fair now. Just because the laws were changed to outlaw racism and segregation does not mean that it just went away and all is well.Dr. King tried to make peace with whites, and they killed him !Whites(some) are not interested in being equal with any other race. They want to prove to the world that they are the supreme race! If that means cheating, lying, stealing, killing, raping , maming, destroying...etc. that's not a concern for them!Guess what color man is the leader of the most powerful country on the face of the earth! Now guess what color man will NEVER have that title!Blacks are NOT being duped, they are smart enough to know what's what and who's who no matter the color , race, gender, creed, age, , sexual orientation, or anything else. Dr. King tried to reach out and promote this Utopian idea you refer to, and look what happened to him, he was killed by his own government.People are not as stupid as you may think!

My point: No matter what anyone accomplishes, there will always be a small minded person that tries to drag them back to the group of mediocrity. This goes for all races. Please, I'm begging you soundboyz, say something about Al and the damn CHICKENS!

Oh, and check the update to this article.

LOL.....I tried to ignore that , but it seems that there is no escaping Al and those chickens! You are right, I don't think that todays politicians/leaders are of much substance, they tend to do whatever to grab headlines, however just because Rev. Al supports the humane treatment of chickens, does not negate other issues and positions that he has stood for! He does look silly supporting chickens!!!LOL!!

Hey, I just posted another update. I win. Just kidding. Gotta crash so I can work tomorrow saving lives down at the abortion clinic.

Two Dogs....Do you think that animals have feelings? Like , do you think that those chickens feel uncomfortable or tortured by the way that they are being treated?

The firm I work for is currently expanding a chicken processing facility and I have seen my fair share of chickens in the last six months, so please understand that I have a little of experience here. Not being a chicken, but being around them.

A chicken has got to feel some pain. Their little eyes surely (dammit, I wish I could quit typing "Surely") don't exhibit any intelligence at all. The damn things don't come when you call them at all.

Anyhoo, the process for killing chickens at a processing facility is an instantaneous one. The chicken is shocked ( to stun them) and their little noggin' is lopped off. Quick and painless.

The crap that Al (Dammit Al, they're CHICKENS) Sharpton is crowing about is a couple a Mexicans kicking and throwing around some CHICKENS! Dammit they are CHICKENS! Not necessarily nice to do but....is it worthy of the CIVIL RIGHTS LEADERS getting involved? To me, that should make Blacks even more angry than the homosexuals highjacking the cause.

Represent the struggle of CHICKENS? DAMMIT THEY ARE CHICKENS!

Sorry, soundboyz, it just throws me for a loop that y'all are not shoving Al's head up his ass, no wait, digging his head outta his ass.

Oh, did I mention that they are CHICKENS?
