QUICK! Close Your Eyes, You Might Bleed to Death!

Here's a little background: I am approximately 360 years old today (or at least feel it) and I have the good fortune to work with people much, much younger than me. As I have said in previous posts, the architecture community in Jackson, Mississippi has a little shindig every Friday night that we choose to call Beer-Thirty. Hats off to these warriors against boredom in this little hamlet.

That said, we put on an amazing display of alcoholic prowess last night and I did not arrive at the crib until 6:00 am. Cheers to La Cazuela, big beers absolutely rock. You just haven't lived until you suck down 23 liters of Dos Equis. It does not bode well for a person of my advanced age to live life as a roadie for some touring acid band, but I am here to let you know that there are much worse predicaments in which to find yourself.

Let's see, there were three of us who completed the Drunk-a-thon. It was me, Chris, and the new guy in our office, Ha-fi-el. It's actually spelled R-A-P-H-A-E-L, but he speaks this language, Port-o-geese, where they pronounce an "R" like an "H". Some people. Anyway, I have yet to confirm this, but he says that he hails from this country called Brazill, they were a colony of another country called Port-o-gall, (I'm thinking that they invented the Port-o-potty there, at least they do have commodes), so that's why they don't speak G_d's language in Brazill. I think that Brazill must be part of Texas, but Raff seems to think that it is in South America. I'm still checking on that, but evidence all seems to point that it is part of Texas. Anyway, he's a good dude and seems to be a good fit in our company. At some point, I'm sure that he might actually do something other than try to get us drunk and talk about women all the time.

Is it just me, or does it seem to be a really BAD idea to have dart boards in a bar? What about skeet shooting instead? Hey, let's all get liquored up and chunk metal projectiles at the wall. Seems like a really good game. Not as good as Naked Crisco Twister, but it has its strong points, especially the one where Raphael has to walk to the scoring board to keep track of our progress while I am holding three really sharp things and he is about one foot away from the dart board.

UPDATE: I Googled Brazill and found out that it IS a little town in South Texas. I'll try to teach Raphael a little more about where he comes from but it's hard to do when he is just so stubborn about there actually being a South America. I wonder why someone would want to be from a ficticious country when they could just tell the truth and be from Texas? Texas is cool, our President is from there, kinda.

I did qualify the statement by adding the word "kinda". Other than having grown up in Texas, maintaining his entire professional life in Texas, and being elected governor twice in Texas, I still think more of his family as being Northeast Liberals. His father is exactly that, I never could understand why George Herbert Walker Bush was a Republican.

Thanks for the comment, Linda. I'm busy trying to get NCT admitted to the Winter Olympic games. I think that the game is better played when it's cold. i personally don't play, but I am a referee.
