Okay, I am Somewhat Upset

It seems that there is a government program that pays for heating oil for poor people. It also seems that there is a government program that pays for air conditioning expenses for poor people. I have read, re-read, and re-re-read the Constitution and I can find nothing at all regarding the implementation of these programs. How can that be? Who decided to completely disregard the Constitution in matters affecting our federal government?

So far this year, I have made a little more than eight thousand dollars. I can prove that. Also, there have been thirty-one (31) weeks to date in this year. That represents 1240 hours worked for a normal human being. 8000 divided by 1240 = 6.45 per hour. Personally, I think that the Fed should be beating my door down to pay for my A/C, don't you? (You know, since minimum wage was just increased to 6.55 an hour on July 24, 2008. Minimum wage shall also increase to 7.25 an hour on July 24, 2009. Does anyone at all wonder why unemployment started going up around July of last year? It's because minimum wage was increased from 5.25 to 5.85 by the Democrat Congress on July 24, 2007.)

Well, they aren't beating my door down. They still want to know how it is possible for me to go from a very high salary to virtually no income in a single year. I keep trying to tell them it is because of the George W. Bush hatred of the little guy and the terrible "Republican" economy, but they ain't buying it. They say that I must be doing something that is illegal and they want me to pay my taxes as if I were still making the salary that I was last year.

Such is the nature of the elitists. People who have never had to produce a single thing, yet have always been pampered and carried through life, become to depend on your handouts. When you try to remove that hand from the repeated biting, they start to move toward your throat instead. The "redistribution" mentality doesn't just extend to those that have always lived off of the efforts of others, it also extends to those that make twice as much as I did just last year.

But, it's the REPUBLICANS that are doing this and hurting the economy, you know. Ten dollar a gallon gasoline is a great thing, but still will not get the DEMOCRATS to drill in our country. Damn REPUBLICANS.

No air conditioning needed up here Two Dogs. Global Warming has provided us with a summer so cold that the fireweed may not bloom.

As you know we get a hand out each year called the Alaska Permanent Fund. This year it is supposed to be over $2000.00 Also, the Gov is trying to get each Alaskan $1200 in energy assistance.

Oh, and the Department of Public Safety is suffering from budget shortfalls and is unable to respond to anything but life threatening emergencies after midnight, even though we have a 12 Billion budget surplus.
