On the State of the Jackson, Mississippi Media - Part II

Yesterday, I went to pick up my buddy from PRIVATE school and swung by Cherokee to inhale some steak fingers. He actually told me that he was hungry for something that his mama wouldn't eat, which means FOOD. While the punk was wasting all my money on pinball, I grabbed a Jackson Free Press. Oh man, that "newspaper" is hilarious. Pick any current issue and they are sporting wood for the WRONG SIDE of it. Methinks that the density of the people that "write" there drags only morons in with the gravity of their idiocy. If there are dumber people in the universe, I have never encountered them.

A quick excerpt of Donna Ladd's signature opening article, "ME-ME-ME-ME-ME-ME-ME-ME-ME-ME-ME-ME-ME-ME-ME-ME-ME-ME-ME." and "ME!!!"

Adam Lynch's article on ObamaCare competes with the "best" writing found on Democratic Underground. His piece is literally every talking point straight from the Barry White House and ALL of it FALSE. Howard Zinn-esque even. If you actually believe anything in the Free Press, you should be on medication, sporting a straitjacket and a rubber mouth-thingy to keep you from biting your tongue off during the shock treatments. Oh, wait, the Democrats closed all of the mental health facilities back in the 1960s. DAMMIT!!! That is how they keep getting elected!!! The crazies can VOTE NOW!!!

Then something dawned on me while chortling at the insanity within. The JFP and the Clarion Ledger are in cahoots. The Free Press had a "Health Talk" article about Representative John Mayo's soda tax that died in committee. Oddly enough, even the totally Democrat controlled Mississippi Legislature thinks that Democrat ideas are ridiculously stupid. Stunning.

Remember Mayo? He is the dude that writes the DUMBEST stuff in the Clarion Ledger and wants to be my friend. In a paper that publishes everything from Leonard Pitts, Cynthia Tucker, David Hampton, Ronnie Agnew, and Robert S. McElvaine, John Mayo is the dumbest of all of them. Mayo is proof that Natural Selection does not happen, if it did, his family would have been evolved out of existence generations ago.

But, the Free Press is loving all up on Mayo.

And in a strange turn of events, the JFP has an interview with Representative Toby Barker (Retard-Hattiesburg). That strikes me as odd until we see what kind of "Republican" Barker is. One that promotes solar energy, bike safety laws, and early childhood "education" spending. While even he admits that solar is basically stupid at this point, he STILL advocates for it. Hmmmm. So, maybe the Democrats do NOT corner the market on idiots even if it does seem that way. And if you advocate for getting children into the public school system at earlier ages, you are basically a hater of intelligence. Every legitimate study ever undertaken has shown the earlier a child begins public school, the quicker they become stupid. See writings on public education from Dr. Thomas Sowell for intelligent discussions on the topic.

Of course, there is the typical Ken Stiggers gibberish that is so far removed from being English that it is incomprehensible, John Horhn adds his typical insanity, and the JFP's own submission (Yes, it is a JFP link) into Mitchieville's What the Hell am I? contest.

I cannot decide which rag is the biggest waste of trees, but make no mistake, the Clarion Ledger and the JFP are cold-blooded murder for our friends in the Landscape Community.

Please take the time to comment.

Do you mean to tell me that you're not blessed with one complete failure of a libtard talking points rag -- the Cladipus Licker -- but you also have another one, competing to see which can be the dumbest publication in a realm of terra firma?

Lawd a mightee...are you sure these folks aren't misplaced from DC or 'Nawlins? Or Bela Pelosi's distrikt in Califorlornia?

No, I must admit, I have not kept up on the decline of Jacktroit. I have been attuned to the decline of Dentroit, but recent actions of the libtards both locally and nationally are turning a red state that went blue in '06 and '08 back toward red. Voters here are hot, and it ain't for Barry's libtard vision.

TD, I've gotta brag just a half a second on the Shreveport media. They are libs for the most part when it comes to Editorial junk at The Times, but the reporting is pretty straight.

And, our 4 news networks are turned right if anything.

Man! I had to laugh when I saw Dr. whatshisname...I hope The Mayor uses that one.

Andy, you just could not believe the stuff that is published in our C-L. Of course, it is a Gannett newspaper, though. It has gotten to the point that instead of AP being the dateline, the paper just prints "From the Oval Office."

Did you catch Dr. Maddow's real name?

And Skunks, every time I drive into Jackson, I am amazed they have not changed the "O" in the "Jackson" to that ridiculous Obama logo.

Heh! No, TD, I didn't catch it...but I went back and got it.

Nyuk! Reminds me of that old Neil Diamond song, "Brother Love's Traveling Salvation Show!"

Hey man, it's Palm Sunday. Ain't you supposed to be at church?

BTW: What's up with you and "weird food" women? Heck, don't tell me she's one of them crazy vegetarians.

Paul Mitchell said...

Yeah, today IS Palm Sunday, but I gotta work this morning to get stuff out of the way. I'll probably be hanging out with the boy this afternoon.

The boy's mama doesn't eat fried food much at all, so that's what he wanted. She is like the normal woman, "I just want a salad and a water" then she eats your entire steak, baked potato with much butter and sour cream, and a whole cheesecake for dessert. You know how they are.

Heh! Glad to know she's not one of them nut jobs.

Speaking of "What the Hell am I?" You reckon the Mayor wants this one?

I am unsure that "WANT" is the proper word, but it is certainly applicable. In other words, GROSS.

It's amazing to me that even places like Jackson, MI, have rags like the Jackson Free Press.

Is everyone, in what passes for "American journalism, a "brain-dead Marxist?"

If so.....I wonder how, exactly, that happened.

It does kinda make me a little nauseous just thinking about it.

JMK, we are MS, not MI, but Michigan has a Jackson, too.

But, dude, the JFP is unbelievably bad. Of course, the Clarion Ledger, our local pay-for paper, is just as bad or worse.

As far as the rest of the country, I am certain there simply has to be a good newspaper somewhere, I have just never found it. In every city or town I travel, I always pick up a local paper and have yet to find one that was not simply liberal agitprop.

I'll tell you a couple of good ones. The Lake Charles American Press (Lake Charles, LA)

The Houma/Thibodeaux Courier. (Houma, LA).

And, we've got "The Inquisitor" here in NW LA...spot on!

There are some out there. It's good to know these things. When ObozO shuts down the internet, we're gonna need some printing capability...kinda like the Solidarity movement in Poland...just a little ink...a little paper...and a lot of truth.

I just realized that I have never spent the night in your neck of the plain, Andy. Wow, that is weird.

Come on over! We've got plenty of room! Not here at the house, but at the Casino/hotels... ;)

Bring money...

Nyuk!
