Checking in Obama's Performance on a Saturday

I think that we have all come to the conclusion that this dude is a failure at everything that he touches. It is very hard to argue that he is not. Every single thing that he touches turns to shit in a flash.

Of course, I do not absolve the Democrat Congress from responsibility, but they are so utterly feckless that to point out everything they screw up would take one million writers one million hours a day covering all of it. It is like they are on a mission from whatever ridiculous deity they worship (today) to destroy the Earth in record time. They are fulfilling their mission SWIMMINGLY.

These idiots make Jimmuh Cartuh look like a nuclear engineer. OH WAIT!

Looking at Obama's poll numbers (luckily) shows us where the biggest idiots in the country are concentrated. Oddly, only five of the fifty states show Obama EVEN or GAINING ground in popularity from the numbers of the 2008 election. Forty-five states show Obama dropping in popularity. (That would be 54 if you believe Obama on how many states there are. 59!!! What an idiot!) This is a good sign. By the way, even California is getting wise to President FAILBOAT. This is shocking, but one should simply look at the job situation there to see why.

Cali lost its last remaining automobile manufacturing facility on Thursday.

In the news this past week, the national media kept screeching about the GOOD employment news!!! IT is awesome, we are in a FULL-BLOWN recovery!11!!!

Well, I just had to know what the truth was. I had to. I wish that I had not HAD TO.

This is the Bureau of Labor Statistics report for the month of March. Sorry, I found this link on a link from a link, and promptly forgot where I found it in my rage.

Remember, the national media meme is that Obama is AWESOMATIC and has SAVED us from W's ridiculous policies of giving money to the wealthy.

Ignore the fact that Obama has doubled down on giving money to HIS wealthy buddies, IT IS BUSH'S FAULT!!!

Anyhoo, quoting from the BLS report for March, HERE's what I find:
The number of long-term unemployed (those jobless for 27 weeks and over) increased by 414,000 over the month to 6.5 million. In March, 44.1 percent of unemployed persons were jobless for 27 weeks or more. (See table A-12.)

Or.
About 2.3 million persons were marginally attached to the labor force in March, compared with 2.1 million a year earlier. (The data are not seasonally adjusted.) These individuals were not in the labor force, wanted and were available for work, and had looked for a job sometime in the prior 12 months. They were not counted as unemployed because they had not searched for work in the 4 weeks preceding the survey. (See table A-16.) [Ed: I bet NOT counting people that are NOT looking for work helps those stats, huh?]

Or.
Among the marginally attached, there were 1.0 million discouraged workers in March, up by 309,000 from a year earlier. (The data are not seasonally adjusted.) [Ed: Over a 70% INCREASE!!!]

Or.
Employment in federal government was up over the month, reflecting the hiring of 48,000 temporary workers for the decennial census. [Ed: Fully 25% of the jobs added in March were temporary government jobs and are counted for the total.]

Or.
In March, financial activities shed 21,000 jobs, with the largest losses occurring in insurance carriers and related activities (-9,000). Employment in the information industry decreased by 12,000. [Ed: Wonder why insurance companies are shedding jobs?]

Or.
The average workweek for all employees on private nonfarm payrolls was up by 0.1 hour to 34.0 hours in March. AND... In March, average hourly earnings of all employees on private nonfarm payrolls fell by 2 cents, or 0.1 percent, to $22.47, following a 4-cent gain in February.

So, from the BLS report, those of us that are becoming an ever decreasing number of working folks, are working for longer hours, while getting less money for it. And the people that are sitting on their asses, NOT looking for work, are increasing at a startling rate. But, the national media says that this is GOOD news on the job front.

Folks, I do not even understand WHY those idiots in the national media are trying to obscure the truth. Are they suicidal or something? Maybe they want all humans to starve to death?

They are screeching that there is GOOD employment news when the Long Term Unemployment stats are at an ALL TIME HIGH. Put that in perspective, the Great Depression lasted ELEVEN YEARS, but we did not have statistics at time. You know for a FACT that we have a good idea of the employment situation then though, and we could certainly make a comparison if things were BETTER now, right? Remember when the national media kept stating over and over that we were in the worst economic state since the Great Depression? That was BEFORE Obama got elected and the economy is steadily getting WORSE, why are they not saying the same things now?

From Doug's link in the preceding paragraph, long term unemployment has reached an average time of 31.2 weeks. This is ALSO the longest length of time since records have been kept.

I am OFFENDED at the lack of integrity in our media these days. Everything that they "report" is to promote an ideology. Theirs is NOT news.

Remember everyone making fun of Sarah Palin talking about "death panels" and saying that she was crazy saying they were in ObamaCare? Folks, they are STILL in ObamaCare. Paul Krugman talks about them here with Jake Tapper.

Doesn't it STUN you that everything that Republicans are saying is coming true and everything that Democrats are saying is bullshit? It shouldn't.

Okay...like the Geico Caveman, I get it: there are NO death panels in the hellthscare bill. And here's Paul "libtard" Krugman, bragging about the money the death panel in the bill will save.

Libtards.

Paul,

It's nice to know that:

a) You trust government statistics, and

b) You recognise that the multitude of unemployed are not lazy or irresponsible but are suffering from something that is not their fault.

I look forward to you using more government statistics (eg NASA's conclusive proof that Global Warming is due to human activity) and suggesting policies to help the unemployed (eg extending their unemployment benefits, giving them free health care, etc)

OSO, the media gets their information from the BLS. I read the BLS report to confirm that they were overly exuberant like the media. That is why I cut and pasted from their report. The media cherry picked some marginally good news from that report and ignored totally the overwhelmingly BAD/TERRIBLE news in the report. The media must prop up the idiots in the Democrat Party, you know? Because without the national media, no one would ever voted for Democrats.

Why in the world would I trust the federal government on anything when they cannot even keep Mexicans from illegally entering our country? You know, one of the very few things that they should be worried about?
