Blackuary Quince - 03AB - New Jersey Approves Bill to Outlaw Slavery

On this day, Blackuary 15, in 1804, New Jersey's legislature approved a bill to outlaw slavery making them the very last "Northern" state to do so. Keep in mind, the United States of America declared independence in 1776. That is TECHNICALLY a total of a WHOPPING 28 years that slavery was legal in the "Northern" states. For some reason, Al Sharpton says slavery was legal in the United States for 600 years. Odd, huh?

But, wait! Those "Northern" states, that were just so all fired up to fight an entire WAR, that "Progressive" historians tell us was about slavery, kinda fudged the numbers a tad, y'all.

While New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island and Providence Plantations, Connecticut, New Hampshire, Dumbassachusetts, Pennsylvania, and Vermont ALL had "laws" outlawing slavery, they all had slaves in their states. How in the world is that possible? "Progressives" have always told us that the Civil War was all about some slavery, so why would states that actually HAVE slaves fight to free slaves in the other states?

Could the reason for that war, that pitted brother against brother, actually have been a bit of a STATES' RIGHTS kinda thingy? Or maybe it was something else entirely?

Do you want to know why the war actually happened? Because of BIG GOVERNMENT. You see, "Progressives" love to tell everyone the ridiculous bullshit about slavery because it is not prudent to point out how many different times in history that Liberalism has been STRONGLY rejected.

You see, the founders of the United States were great men and they knew beyond ANY DOUBT that limited government was the way to go, but by the year 1791 the last of the signers of the Declaration of Independence was dead. Charles Carroll was the last to go. Not only that, but James Madison was the last living signer of the Constitution to die in 1836.

Plus, during this era, you had two distinct political ideologies that were both FOR a stronger federal government, the Whigs and the FUCKING Democrats. the Whigs advocated for a stronger Congress and the FUCKING Democrats argued for a DICTATOR or a much stronger President.

Also, "Progressive" historians try to tell you that Abraham Lincoln's election, because he was Republican, set off the fireworks. But, what they do NOT tell you is that even though the Republican Party was formed to abolish slavery, Lincoln was NOT big into that ideology. Abolishing slavery was just a part of the PARTY platform.

And the other thing that they fail to tell you is that James Buchanan, the President right before Lincoln was doing all that he could to appease slave owners, because Buchanan was a Democrat and Democrats hate black people TO. THIS. DAY.

Buchanan was a staunch advocate for a very strong President. ALL of the states hated his ass. But, what most people did not realize was that Buchanan was the PERFECT Democrat, just like Bill Clinton. Although Buchanan did not get impeached like Clinton, he was still a man with relatively little philosophy upon which to depend. He was the typical Democrat bureaucrat guy. Little of this stuff, little of that, but ignore the fact that they are totally contradictory!

Okay, that went all over the swerve, huh?

Point is, New Jersey allegedly abolished slavery on this day in 1804, but kept slaves in their state until almost 1850. Wonder what party ran New Jersey then AND now?

Now, for an entire month, our country, the GREATEST in the history of the world, spends all month long trying to tell black folks that those black folks are worthy of having a month. How offensive is that crap?

Please take the time to comment.

What is more offensive, giving a month for "education" or birthing them to begin with?

By birthing I mean the artificial creation of "Africa Americans"...let's count the ways this group was created: Racialization of permanent servitude, one drop rule, miscegenation laws, and lastly state (and privately) sponsored segregation. I won't mention the mass expelling of black folks around lots of small towns in the South, this was "discovered" recently by looking at census figures.

It looks to me you have a group that by it's very existence embodies the immoral and unethical past behavior of the country.

So I am curious which is more offensive...being given a month or knowing that you belong to one of two peoples that literally embody everything that was (I said "was') wrong with the country of your birth? (hint, hint: the other group has "sovereignty")

Roderick, I could be one of those other sovereigns. Twenty-five percent, Hoss.

What is more offensive, the month of education that throws everything out of whack. That is the sole purpose of our celebration of Blackuary. "Black" history might as well be ignored completely, because it is completely out of context.

The solution to the ills in the poorer communities? It is going to be tough. But, as a parent, I learned quickly that positive reinforcement is a failing ideology. Negative reinforcement, delivered at an early age, with no possibility of reprieve, works like gangbusters.

Cut 'em off. Now, quickly, completely, and permanently. Get it over with.

Well congress is debating this right now, with Obama threatening to veto.

Think they will go through with and cut most if not all the welfare programs? This may include a shutdown of the gov't. Personally I don't know if they have the guts, so far I am not impressed the initial 65B in cuts.

I guess it won't matter eventually the gov't obligations (social security/medicare/pensions) will force the gov't to cut off folks anyway.

Are you impressed with the HUGE tax increases that Obama is proposing?

The thing is, the collapse is inevitable. There is no way to avoid it. When I absolutely HAVE to do something that I do not want to do, I just fucking do it. Post haste. Because I am not a dumbass.

Andy, I agree that Lincoln was not a champion of the black folks, but Buchanan courted slave owners and sided with them when he needed to. I don't think Lincoln ever went that far, like Al Sharpton has.
