An Update on the Housing Debacle

Hey, a map was released today showing where all of the mortgage delinquency/foreclosures are located and guess what? It is basically just a Red State-Blue State map from the elections. Guess where damn near every single foreclosure is?

Oddly enough, on the map, the areas where the highest percentages of delinquencies are concentrated are denoted by a red hatch, the next highest are denoted by a yellow hatch, and the areas that have the lowest rate of delinquencies are denoted by a green hatch. We can tell where the stupid people live just by looking at a map, hurray!

I think that I shall produce a ghosted image of this for my own information, I suggest you do the same. It looks like crap on this blog when I attempt that because I do not have time to properly play with it. Oh, please recall that Florida, which has a high rate of delinquencies, was a battleground state and damn near went to the party of the morons.

Here's the Red-State, Blue-State map for your refresher course in locating idiots.

Please take the time to call your Congressman and scream about bailing these morons out.

More HERE.

UPDATE: Here's an even better comparison.

The maps are correct. I live in Californication where the highest forclosures are. Its not that Cali people are exactly stupid, but they are greedy for the most part and thought varitable rate morgages would be a good way to get median income people into high priced houses.

Fortunatly myself and family were 'old school' morgage savy & would never risk getting into morgages or homes one can't afford to live in.

However the home we outright own, now has been devaluated by the mass forclosures. Selling it would be out of the question. We would stand to loose to much of its real value.

Have you ever heard of Carmel, Pebble Beach or Monterey? Well we live right between them in the small town of Pacific Grove.

People used to call this area 'God's country'. They now call it the 'Devils triangle'. LOL

I hate to dispute the exact location of God's Country, Pendoodles, but if you check my "Labels" on the right sidebar, you will see clearly that Mississippi is called exactly that. Trust me, it's on the internet, it must be right.

And I have no pity for those folks that have overstepped their ability to pay and I am "bitterly clinging to my guns and religion" because currently the government takes more than half of my yearly salary and gives it to people that do not help me do my work. Let those that foreclose eat bugs and live in a tent.
