From 1817 until 1972 when the U.S. Supreme Court declared executions unconstitutional, Mississippi executed 351 people, a rate of just over 2 per year. A racial breakdown was not available, but it's probably safe to say black people were disproportionately represented.
Um, NO. It is NOT safe to say those things. You see, as a REPORTER, you have to have the FACTS, Mr. Mitchell. You did what is known to intelligent people as "ASSUMED." Assumptions are NOT reporting, as a matter of fact, you unfairly place the title of "racist" on every single Mississippian.

This has been a banner week for our local paper displaying incompetence and dishonesty. Seriously, does anyone PAY to read their crap anymore?
To bring you up to speed, Mississippi executed two murderers this week, and the Clarion Ledger was all over it. You know, the C-L is run by Democrats that think the only people that need to be in prison are the people that work and think that they pay too much in taxes.
Arguments are obvious against the death penalty: selective sentencing, the state's failure to finance proper death investigations, racial and/or socioeconomic discrepancies and, for many, basic moral/religious objections.
The hilarious point of this opinion, WHICH IS WRONG, is that still there are people that think mainly black folks are getting executed. Since black folks make up a HUGE majority of people in prison, with Mexicans trying desperately to come in second, you would think that there WOULD be more blacks getting executed, but oddly, the percentage is LOWER THAN WHITES.
Another stunning thing was that the C-L published three photos of death row inmates on the front page of the birdcage liner where that Op-Ed was published. ALL WERE WHITE. Here's the two that went to Hell this week.
Here's the Death Row roster for Mississippi, of the fifty-nine (59), thirty-one (31) are black, one is Asian, and the rest are white. In case you are mathematically challenged, that is a fifty-two percent (52%) black death row population. Blacks also commit murders in Mississippi at a rate over three times that of whites. So, obviously, there IS a racial disparity, but NOT the way that the Clarion Ledger supposes. I guess that the staff at the C-L cannot download the very same PDF from Chris Epps office to get this data. But, I can and did.
Oddly, the total prison population is over seventy percent (70%) black. So, if you take the racial makeup of our state, which is around 36-37% black, you might think that crime is rampant in the black community. Well, since the total incarcerated population is over seventy percent black, YOU WOULD BE RIGHT.
That was not all that the Clarion Ledger botched this week, and it would take me the rest of my entire natural life just to debunk the paper TODAY, but there is one Delta Democrat article that the C-L published that I had to add my two cents to on their website. CHECK IT.

Just because the law never has the words "death panel" in it, does NOT mean that is not what it is. Sorry.
Crazy Robert also says that there is no incarceration spelled out in the law, again he lies. From page 1757 of the law, "Any person that violates Section 519 shall upon conviction be imprisoned for not more than ten years..." Nope, NO ONE is going to jail for anything in this law.
I think that is sufficient to fisk the idiocy of Robert S. McElvaine.

The best part about it is that Bill Minor KNOWS that it is a lie. He even threw in a bunch of useless historical references about John Lewis that are not germane to the topic at hand. That information was intended to obscure the point of the FRAUD.

Oh man, that "newspaper" is hilarious. Pick any current issue and they are sporting wood for the WRONG SIDE of it. Methinks that the density of the people that "write" there drags only morons in with the gravity of their idiocy. If there are dumber people in the universe, I have never encountered them.

On the front page of the Clarion-Ledger yesterday, there was an article about some Senior in high school with a baby. He was talking about having never heard about the proper usage of condoms in school. I do not know this kid, I do not know his parents or his teacher, but I cannot BELIEVE that he did not receive instruction on Jimmy Hat usage in public school unless he missed 90% of his school days.
I would link the article, BUT! The Clarion-Ledger has decided to accelerate the demise of their paper.
This article started me thinking about what I learned in school. We had a class called "Health" almost every year that I was in elementary and junior high school. I do not remember what the Hell we took in high school because I was drunk all the time. Yet, I think back to that "Health" class and recall vividly learning the proper names and functions of the various reproductive organs and the things necessary to produce offspring. I remember it like it was yesterday, plus my moron kid and I actually had conversations about that very thing. You see, my kid did not have a "Health" class in public school, but in fourth grade, they started teaching him about SCREWING. Yes, that is when he got sent to private school. There is a post on this mediocre blog about that day, too.
You see, the classroom is NOT the place to teach children about SCREWING. I am sorry if some parents cannot or will not have that conversation with their kids, but teaching normal kids about sex kinda runs contrary to MOLESTATION LAWS. When an adult, other than YOU talks to YOUR kid about SCREWING, there is something dreadfully wrong. In my opinion, every school teacher that does it should be put on the SEX CRIMES list and mapped until the end of time. You know, since I am NOT crazy.

In further WRONGNESS news, the Clarion-Ledger talks budget yet again. Of course they lament the fact that Governor Haley Barbour has cut a single dollar from the public school system. Oddly, they are not too disappointed that the Governor also forced cuts in corrections. The thing that gets me is that the C-L is all up in arms that the governor is cutting funds to a horrendously failing institution, schools, and they are okay with him cutting from a successful one, JAILS. Luckily, the Democrats in the state house passed a budget that does exactly what the Clarion-Ledger wants, but Barbour has guaranteed that he would VETO it. I wish that Haley had gotten a little closer to George W. Bush a few years ago, maybe we would not have the idiot Democrat US Congress now if Bush had been a little tighter with the cash.
The final Clarion-Ledger story is about racial profiling in farm loans. Of course, with a President that is almost half-black and an idiot Congress running the show, there is a very good chance that they shall give money based solely on race. Let's simply ignore the fact that subsidizing farms is like one of the dumbest things that could possibly happen. Government subsidy of anything always results in the worst possible outcome. With government money, comes government regulation. You know like forcing farmers to grow corn to fuel automobiles. FARM FAIL.
As a response to the Clarion-Ledger's resident idiot, David Hampton, calling for tax increases every Sunday, I offer the true solution to all that hampers the country. End all government outlays. Including the military. End them totally and start completely over with a mandatory reading of our Constitution. If there are questions regarding the tenets of that august document, get Scalia to explain it in words easy for Democrats to understand. By that, I mean obviously in grunts or at least just one syllable words.
As a point of reference, currently we spend over 340 billion dollars a year in this country to educate, house, clothe, incarcerate, and give medical services to ILLEGAL aliens. Take a second to reflect on that. We spent 340 BILLION a year on people that are not even supposed to be here. That is ELEVEN TIMES the annual state budget of Mississippi. Last year, Mississippi had a budget of twenty-nine point eight BILLION dollars ($29,000,000,000.00). That 340 billion is OVER THREE TIMES the yearly budget of California.
You see, liberalism or "Progressivism" or stupidity, whatever you want to call it, has poisoned the intellect of this country. We have people afraid to call a spade a spade. Words have value, folks.

Now, how in the absolute mortal Heaven could Congress pass a single law telling ANYONE in the country that they cannot say something about their religiosity? I mean, we cannot even lock up everyone that practices Islam, how in the Hell could we charge someone with a crime for saying something about Christianity? Oh, wait, it is the Muslims that are screeching about the mayor's words. And they are the sole unwritten exception to the "shall make no law..."
You know, unwritten in the Constitution is pretty much all we follow these days. Right to privacy to kill your children, right to making an established wage, right to FREE! medical services, a house, a car, a big screen television, to food, clothing...seriously, the list is endless what wonderful rights we have now. We even have a right to get government handouts for being black while farming.
I have been looking forward to today for a little over twenty years. It got here, it took its toll, and it has almost passed. What a freaking relief.
My moron kid is gone for good. I seriously could not be happier and there is no pining for him. But, the mistakes that I made parenting were glaringly evident today. I sheltered the kid too much. The transparency comment (rushed through, little debate) or the no earmarks statement (nearly 1000) are especially laughable. Folks, Barry Obama is a lying sack of shit BUFFOON. Never in the history of our great REPUBLIC (the United States is NOT a democracy) have we ever elected someone that is as astoundingly moronic as this dude. He gives imbeciles a bad reputation.

There has been no accounting study of the proposed plan that has said it would decrease costs or increase quality. Every study has said that the plan would INCREASE costs and DECREASE quality. What kind of idiot would want that? Barry Obama, Joe FREAKING Biden, Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, and the rest of the Democrats that will EXCLUDE themselves for participation. Wait?!?!?! They are going to exclude themselves from participation? Yeppers, that is the plan, y'all.

Instead of considering an annual tuition increase, the College Board will consider a plan that would raise tuition three consecutive years. There is no question that some will be priced out of an education at a four-year institution.

I took the time to read the Sunday Clarion Ledger today while sucking down a Triple Whoffah from Burger King. Two things leapt off of the page to me, the morons that run the Clarion Ledger want even more folks to ride in the medical services cart and they do not like Sarah Palin. Lemme add my two cents to both topics because that is my JOB.
The Clarion Ledger published Ellen Goodman's article proving her blind hatred for any female that is more intelligent and more attractive than Ellen. Since that subset of vagina-toting humans that fits both of those qualities is nearing 2.5 BILLION, Ellen decided to just call out Sarah Palin because Sarah is the "Villian of the Day" for the Left. As a matter of fact, since the subset of chicks that do not fit in those categories is only four in the entire world, I find it hard to fathom why Ellen needs to call Sarah Palin out, but she does.
Oddly enough, Ellen finds the need to trash Palin's intelligence while still ignoring that we actually have a president that is running roughshod over the Constitution in a bid to PROVE BEYOND ANY DOUBT that he is the dumbest human being in politics today. Instead of questioning the intelligence of someone that is a private citizen that is crossing the country promoting her book, doesn't Ellen really need to focus on something a little more important in her seldom read columns? The other asinine lunacy in the paper was David Hampton's column talking about "healthcare." It is utterly insane, really, not unlike David Hampton.
First things first. Hampton uses the completely discredited number of 46 million people in our country without medical insurance. Let's address that quickly. From the WHO Report, we find that the United States provides FREE medical services for 47% of the total US population, which they set at 320 million. That means that around 150 million PLUS that 46 million currently do not have PRIVATE insurance. In other words, according to these statistics/numbers, 196 million people do not pay for medical services in this country and NO ONE is denied access. If we are to actually believe leftists and their feeble attempts at mathematics, 124 million people pay for the medical services of the remaining 196 million people. That means that 37% of our population carries the ENTIRE BILL for medical services for our country.
Those of us that actually pay taxes already KNOW THIS SHIT because we foot the damn bill for everything. What those that are trying to get us taxpayers to PAY EVEN MORE fail to understand is that of that 124 million people (that already take care of their OWN FUCKING HEALTH) a good portion of them are OUR children that we already provide for. Let's say take HALF of that number away to get the TRUE NUMBER of folks footing the damn bill for our own damn children and all of the deadbeat Democrat voters that do not work.
The real number of people that are pulling the medical services wagon is closer to 64 million that are paying total costs for 258 million PLUS OURSELVES. The technique that I used to arrive at these numbers is called "deductive reasoning" and if you actually pay friggin' taxes, you better get mad about it, too.
By the way, the Clarion Ledger also brought up the shit-fit idiocy of the consolidation of our colleges in the Sunday Op-Ed section, too. Funny thing about our state colleges is that despite the fact that tuition is continually rising, enrollment INCREASED by ten percent over the past year. What do you think that the Clarion Ledger thinks about that? That tuition needs to go DOWN. Supply and demand anyone? Is there a single soul at the C-L that is NOT a stark-raving lunatic?

Lemme chime in on these two idiotic opinions from the Democrats at the Clarion Ledger. Government is tasked with ONE PRIMARY JOB, to protect the law-abiding citizenry. When the powers that be find the need to diminish the money spent on government's PRIMARY TASK, they are endangering the populace.
Wonder what could POSSIBLY happen to crime rates when these two idiotic ideas are incorporated into legislation? If a criminal KNOWS that they will not face the death penalty for murder, does that make them MORE or LESS likely to KILL? If a criminal KNOWS that they shall not be forced to serve minimally 85% of their sentence, do you think that will make them MORE or LESS likely to perpetrate crimes?

David Hampton, in an article from yesterday, attacked blogs and the ENTIRE internet because allegedly those sources have no requirements that are "upheld by newspapers." In other words, Hampton lives in Assholeville with his head stuck firmly in the sand.
