Problems on the Right-The Two Dogs Way

Inspired by that damn Kelly.

In a never ending effort to save lives and enhance the reading pleasure of all seven of my daily readers (yep, SEVEN!), I have decided to make an attempt to attack the problems within the party for which I usually vote. I know, I know, you're sitting there saying, but you vote Republican! Well, my dear friends, there are problems on the intelligent side too. True enough, they are hard to find, but trust me, they ARE there.

The method that I have chosen is to peruse the official White House.gov site; because the President is the figurehead of the party, and attack the individual posts on that site. It will be a daunting task, but if there is anyone that can do it, it would have to be me. (Oh, and a few million other people too, but who's counting?)

Well, what do we have here? It seems that Justice Sandra Day O'Connor is retiring. Bush says, "Under the Constitution, I am responsible for nominating a successor to Justice O'Connor. I take this responsibility seriously. I will be deliberate and thorough in this process. I have directed my staff, in cooperation with the Department of Justice (Ed Note: Weren't they the ones that sent Elian Gonzales back to Cuba?), to compile information and recommend for my review potential nominees who meet a high standard of legal ability, judgment and integrity and who will faithfully interpret the Constitution and laws of our country."

Yes, spoken like a true sissy boy. What, is Bush not aware that he won this past election with a true mandate from the people? Is he crawfishing over a Supreme nomination? Is he out to continue that nonsense of "Uniter Not Divider"? Wake up, W, the Left hates your stinking guts. There is no possible way that you can unite an illinformed close-minded bigot with a Conservative. Ain't gonna happen.

Okay, to attack this bout of spinelessness on W's part, Two Dogs suggests a little reality. Ask the military dudes and dudettes who you should appoint. Get them to make public suggestions. Ask a soldier that was wounded in this War on Islamic Terrorism exactly what type of Justice you should nominate. Ask a widow or widower just who they think would make a good Justice. Ah Hell, ask the victim of a Federal crime who they think needs to don the black robe. These are the voices that need to be heard.

It's really simple, O'Connor was a disappointment. She "grew" into the job. Just like Kennedy, just like Stevens. In short, she sucked. We have a Constitution, we just need someone to read it. You know, I'm not the sharpest knife in the drawer, but I can understand the words as they were put down on that paper. Pretty damn simple, if you ask me.

Hey, President Bush, nominate either Judge Roy Moore or Judge Charles Pickering and let the Democrats eat cake. Losers.

So, to wrap up this feature of "Hey, The Right is Stupid, Too", we need to all agree that the Founding Fathers had a pretty good idea for the running of the country. Now, President Bush just needs to find a Justice that can read. Just saying.

A LITTLE ADDED NOTE: The United States of America is a REPRESENTATIVE REPUBLIC. It is not now, nor has it ever been a Democracy. There are very specific differences in the two. One is the basis for a country founded on the Rule of Law and governed by a loose union of states and those STATE'S people, and one is the type of place that follows MOB RULE. Guess which one we are?
