An American Groundswell of Morality

It has been said that Moderates are the ones that have to be won over to win elections. I am going on record today saying that there are few moderates, if any. The Washington Times has an interesting ARTICLE regarding the morality of our country. Remember, this is NOT the New York Times, CBS, or Newsweek. It could possibly be true.

And before I am bludgeoned with the stem cell argument, I am all for it if the Federal government doesn't chip any money into the research. I am a Capitalist.

I thought that was interesting too, Pam! Republicans think things are going even more downhill, yet they are in control. What does THAT mean? I know they're used to being indignant about morals, but the results still surprised me.

As for stem cell research, Two Dogs, if your view is that the government shouldn't pay for any research, I disagree, but at least you're not one of the "ban stem cell research" (i.e. please fight disease with one hand behind your back) people.

Erik if there was true help to be had in embryonic stem cell research, don't you think that the free market would be all over it? All evidence points to the fact that adult stem cells are much more promising and don't cause the cancers that embryonic does.

I have not seen that evidence. Care to share? Oh, and the free market *is* all over it.

To clarify, I meant evidence of it causing cancer. Adult and embryonic seem to be better for different things from what I understand. When fighting disease, I don't want religious groups telling people what is and is not to be used in fighting it. Could be your life they save.

Wait a minute. This is the abortion causing cancer thing that you put up that I refuted and you eventually backed off on a couple months ago, right? It would be in April sometime that it came up I think. Just have to dig up the right post of yours.

No, embryonic stem cell, not adult.
