Mean Ol' Meany's Treatise on Religion

Not really. Erik had this POST on "what if"........I made a comment about Heaven's Gate, and another commenter brought up the Nike shoes and applesauce. I simply had to take a trip down memory lane on this one. I remembered the shoe thing, but had no recollection of anything else. I Googled.....remember, this is sad, scary, and funny, in a twisted, sick sorta way.

Here is a PLETHORA of links regarding the Chairman of the Democrat Party...oops, typo, I mean, Marshall Applewhite and his cult.

Applewhite never voted for a Republican, ever. He probably remains the best example of the majority of Democrat voters, a homosexual, school teaching, mental patient. Not that there's anything wrong with that.

Anyhoo, here's the story. Seems that Applewhite and his partner in the cult administration, Bonnie Nettles, were stark raving lunatics. They met in a hospital where she was a nurse and he was, guess, yep, a mental patient. Somehow they deduced from Biblical teaching that Heaven is some sort of manifestation of alien space travel or something. After protesting the terrorism that the United States perpetrated on Vietnam, they formed their first cult in 1975. They immediately started campaigning for their choice for Supreme Commander of the Universe, Jimmy Carter, and tricked people of lesser intelligence into voting for Democrats. Yes, I know that there are no thinking people that vote for Democrats, but I just want y'all to understand who these nuts were.

Having accomplished their goal of transforming the Democrat Party into what it is today, the duo started forming the Heaven's Gate cult, the first of a series of PACs designed to find people so stupid they would vote for Democrats. The "rules" that they had that would allow "their people" to know each other was that everyone would become gender-neutral, dress in a sex-less way, no minorities in any adminstration positions, and wear Nike kicks. The Nike thing has fallen by the wayside 'cause Nike operates sweatshops that use slave labor, but the other rules are still in effect. Harken back to the Democrat National Convention last year, you'll see what I mean.

More parallels HERE. And these excerpts prove my point:

they lived communally in a large, rented San Diego County (CA) home

They dressed in unisex garments: shapeless black shirts with Mandarin collars, and black pants

This seems to have been a form of preparation for their next level of existence: in a life that would be free of gender and sexual identity

Marshall Herff Applewhite was gay. There are rumors that he had one or more affairs with male students when he was a music teacher

I found one member of the Cult of particular interest because surprisingly enough, his father was a Professor at Yale at the time that Bill Clinton and John Kerry attended. Coincidence, nope. I'm guessing they were cooking up the corrupt Democrat Party that we see today.

Further developments (from Wikipedia) that closely mimic the ideology of the Democrat Party are that they gave up their material possessions and the male members of the cult underwent castration. Yep, approximately 99.8% of Democrats believe that I should give lazy, shiftless, no-working people all my money for new Escalades, filet mignon, free retirement, and health care. Not only that, they also believe that I should cease acting like the damn man that G_d made me, that might hurt someone's feelings.

Oh, come to find out, these Democrats committed suicide by eating poison laced applesauce and vodka. Thin the herd is what I say.

Check out the Bonfire of the Vanities for more of the worst of me and others.

You are clearly insane. Oliver Stone has nothing on you when it comes to conspiracy theories. Speaking of which,
