On the Alleged "Separation" Clause

With the murder of Dr. Tiller earlier today, the morbidly ill lefties that are joyous over his death have renewed their HATRED of Christians and religion in general. Please ignore the fact that Dr. Tiller was MURDERED in CHURCH, so the abortionist was even trying to save his soul from Hell.

I cannot COUNT the number of times that I have seen "separation," "church," and "state" typed today. Once and for all, HERE is the ONLY Place that had been UTTERED until around 1940 or so, when our descent into Communism started.

Jefferson's Letter to the Danbury Baptists

To messers. Nehemiah Dodge, Ephraim Robbins, & Stephen S. Nelson, a committee of the Danbury Baptist association in the state of Connecticut.

The affectionate sentiments of esteem and approbation which you are so good as to express towards me, on behalf of the Danbury Baptist association, give me the highest satisfaction. my duties dictate a faithful and zealous pursuit of the interests of my constituents, & in proportion as they are persuaded of my fidelity to those duties, the discharge of them becomes more and more pleasing.

Believing with you that religion is a matter which lies solely between Man & his God, that he owes account to none other for his faith or his worship, that the legitimate powers of government reach actions only, & not opinions, I contemplate with sovereign reverence that act of the whole American people which declared that their legislature should "make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof," thus building a wall of separation between Church & State. Adhering to this expression of the supreme will of the nation in behalf of the rights of conscience, I shall see with sincere satisfaction the progress of those sentiments which tend to restore to man all his natural rights, convinced he has no natural right in opposition to his social duties.

I reciprocate your kind prayers for the protection & blessing of the common father and creator of man, and tender you for yourselves & your religious association, assurances of my high respect & esteem.

Th Jefferson
Jan. 1. 1802.

This was written to a group of men in Connecticut to REMOVE the federal government from a STATE debate concerning some legal issues. The letter was written for a specific purpose and if you read it, yo can PLAINLY see that President Jefferson was saying that the federal government had ABSOLUTELY NOTHING TO SAY about any state religion.

From this one little letter, we now have TOTAL FEDERAL GOVERNMENT CONTROL of our lives. When the leftists lie about something, WE HAVE TO CALL THEM ON IT.

No matter how frustrating it is.

Please take the time to comment.

...and it is EXTREMELY frustrating.

Thing is, the liberals do not have a true sense of right or wrong. BECAUSE they loathe everything Holy in the world, they don't seem to have ANY moral character at all. This leads them to do STUPID SHIT like celebrate a man's horrific death. The idiots are freaking orgasmic. Not only do they get to have their little "2 minute hate" over his death, but they get to extend it with BONUS time 'cause it happened it Church.

If this isn't just another sign that the left is pure evil, I don't know what is.

This is a torch I've been carrying for years. Inevitably when this source is cited, and the lefties figure out that they're foundation for making an argument regarding church and state is nothing but sand, they inevitably point to the 1st Amendment, 'Congress shall make no law respecting religion...' What they fail to understand is that in light of the political and religious climate which the founders had left in England, this was to prevent the Gov't from installing a required religion, and dictating the terms of worship. This is literally freedom 'of' religion, not freedom 'from' religion.

Bayouchild, it sounds like they want everyone to cower in the corner and pretend there is no God. I gotta decline on that one.

CJ, if you saw that morbid display, it was chilling. They are some sick folks.

CL, you oddly do not look like Dick Cheney in your blogger avatar. And when the left has tried non-stop for the last 90 years to destroy our Constitution, it is going to take us at least that long to undo what they have done. Put, your shit-kicking boots on.

Uh...there wuz way too many big words in that there paragaf. Could you dumb it down for me please?

What do "appropobation" and "constitchuent" means?

ON a more serious not:
that the legitimate powers of government reach actions only, & not opinions,I wonder what the Hon. Mr. Jefferson would think of all our "hate crimes" legislation? I wonder what he might say in response to the idea that you could be given a greater sentence based on what the "motivations" or "thoughts" behind your actual crime?

Of course, we all know that the lefties you reference (and often hear from in drivelling diatribes) wouldn't lie without a cause; my reckoning here is that they adopted a tactic taken from one of their heroes of early-middle 20th Century history, who was known to sacrifice one of his own, and blame his political/ideological opponents, before inciting his followers and the dumbed down sheeple of his to lil' things like pogroms and other freedom-deductive behaviors.

Yep...wouldn't surprise me if a 'take one for the cause' Leftie shot the doc, and hopes to see conservatives smeared with it.

Adolph Hitler would be proud of today's American Lefties.

My husband told me about Dr. Tiller being shot in church yesterday last night. I decided to post my response to that this morning... I spent hours on it. And I purposefully, did not read anything about it, turn the radio on or the news. I didn't want what I had to say to be colored by anything that was being said by anyone else. However, I so know how these things go!!!
