Site Updating, Repairs, and Webblog Information

It seems that these site updates are coming with more regularity than in the past. I am not sure if changing things up a little is actually helping or hurting, but at least I am documenting when these changes are taking place, so if I ever get interested, I shall be able to figure it out.

I have yet to see the same "editor" in Blogger in two consecutive posts in the last four days, so I am guessing that Teh Google is changing platform things up a bit, too. Teh Google has also added e-mail commenting and photo album viewers for Buzz, as well.

Additionally, there are a couple of new features that have been added to G-Mail recently, too. You can now just drag and drop attachments in G-Mail. This doesn't really add any ease to the way that I send e-mails, but maybe you can see the benefit.

If you are a BIG proponent of "open-web" stuff, Teh Google Docs has majorly upped their game in an effort to break the stranglehold of Microsoft Office. I can see this as nothing but a good thing, even though I do not use cloud-computing as much as I did just two short years ago. With the demise, or the lack of stability, of G.ho.st, I have started moving everything to my physical drives, but maybe it is time for me to start taking a harder look.

As far as Teh Google Teh Phone, they have made a few changes that appear to be acknowledging Teh Google FAILURE, though. So, when coupled with Android, Teh Google is dropping the MacApple-like online store, which obviously is a form of marketing that is only attractive to DUMB people.

At some point in the VERY near future, I am going to be launching my business site for real and I am trying to figure out traffic generation and what interests folks. Obviously, it AIN'T the content on this danged blog, either. But, with three years of active learning on what drives traffic, maybe I can become an interblog-millionaire and start sending y'all money for reading my rants.

Anyhoo, I have added Amazon Affiliate Links on posts and a search on the sidebar. I think that I might have inadvertently added AdSense, too, but I won't know what it looks like for a couple of days. Buy my junk, y'all.

In the last couple of weeks, there have been big changes in Google link value, plus IBM has launched a new Social Media Analytics thingy, and FAILbook has kicked the door open to selling every single piece of your personal information. Traffic is about to become more unpredictable, it seems. As if, traffic predictability was ever something that we could figure out.

By the way, please keep in mind that this blog is the MOST accurate information delivery portal on the entire Dubya.Dubya.Dubya, so keep coming around so you will know how NOT to get had in Gangland territory, yo.

Heh! Yeah TD, I figured something had happened with Google's formula. The traffic to my business site actually went up, and I'm appearing higher on their results in the most common search terms than before.

I don't do any "pay for click" stuff any more. I did it for several years, but the bid prices got so out of reason that I just dropped it all.

I hope you do make a quadrillion bazillion dollars on the net. And, you are exactly correct that I don't think ANYONE has ever figured out traffic generation completely.

You do know, don't you that you are advertising for Charlie Melancon for Senate (lib dimocrap LA), and the Official Obama Website beneath this post. But hey! I might try to become a medical assistant.

Seriously, do they pay you if we just click on those ads beneath, or do we have to donate, or purchase for you to get your 30 pieces of silver?

BTW, thanks for the tech updates. You definitely be king of the Triple Dubya.

Oh yeah...I forgot to ask you about the Construction babes. Original shot?

Dang...I've been reading your site for FREE, and you offer to pay for us to read it????

Can I get that retroactive to '07?

Andy, I am not even certain how they cut my HUGE check, but now the ads are for Ann Coulter, Fat People Photos, and How Liberal Are You? Click them all every time you are here and let's see how much change I can spread around. I do like the Amazon one because it shows every click and the path that the person takes afterward. Alas, the construction chicks are NOT local. Everyone knows women cannot work in construction.

Skunks, if you click enough ads, maybe we can work out a deal. This is called BRIBERY.

I'm sorry...I got so hung up on that photo, I couldn't concentrate on all the stuff about Google platforms and net traffic.

Apparently I'm going to have to cut and paste the text without the picture, so I can read it more effectively.

One thing I DO wonder about, is now, with Barack Obama so put off by modern technology sharing "too much information"....whether any of this is a moot point. Maybe they just haven't figured out a way around this, OR maybe they're waiting until after November to assess any electoral damage. I'm sure they were heartened by the results in England, where the Conservatives didn't do nearly as well as thought and Germany, where Merckel, virtually forced, by the EU, into accepting a Keynesian bailout package, has taken an electoral hit for that.

IF team Obama can withstand November, I'm betting they'll feel that their agenda is virtually unassailable and they'll move to remake America to the point that it will be unrecognizable within 10 years.

Mere Keynesians will be considered "the Conservatives" of that day.

We Americans have got to make that stop in six months. The prospects of failure aren't merely grim, but Third Worldish.
