College Gameday - Week 7 - October 16, 2010

Street Kirkherb and the Four Letter Moron Team (ESPN's College Gameday squad) are headed to an epic JuCo matchup today in Wisconsin for the tOSU v. Badger game. I thought Junior College footbaw was always played on Thursday or Friday night, but really I had no clue. I do not watch junior college footbaw.

COLLEGE GAMEDAY!!!

SCOREBOARD MOVED TO OCTOBER 23, 2010. COLLEGE GAMEDAY!!!

In Division I college footbaw, the championship conference, we have almost a full schedule with only Rocky Top having the day off.

Vandy @ UGA at 12:21 is the first college footbaw game today. Both teams really, really need this game, too. UGA seems to have the upper hand. Maybe the same team they fielded last weekend will show up again today.

Razorhawgs @ The Barn at 3:30. This is the best college footbaw game of the day in my opinion. We'll see if I am right.

'Cocks @ UK at 6:00. How did UK get sixteen homes games the very year that I moved to town? Because that is MY buzzard luck. I need to go to the grocery store today. Looks like I'll be going around SIX.

We Suck @ Da Gates at 7:00. I remember from my childhood that it seemed We Suck ALWAYS played at Flarda. Needless to say, that stadium is the hottest and loudest place on Planet Earth and I hated those games.

McWeezer State Barber and Reform College @ Geaux Tigers at 7:00. Lemme make a prediction, Les Miles will NOT let this one go the distance.

And last but certainly not least, Klansingtonville African American Bears @ Bammer at 9:00. The Klan will roll out their new racist mascot tonight. Since it is such a late start, will the time conflict with the Klan's nightly cross burnings? Only time will tell. (I added a special tag to this post in honor of Ole Miss' new mascot, see if you can figure out which one it is.

COLLEGE GAMEDAY!!!

And CROOM!!!

Please take the time to comment.

Got two tix to the mcsneeze/geaux tigers game, Taking the young lady for her initiation to death valley 'culture' and tailgating activities... despite the outcome, still unsure which 'team' will go the distance for four quarters.

My picks:

Mcsneeze....5 to 1
Rice... 1000 to 1

Well, you couldn't pick a better Geaux Tigers game to skip out on the fourth quarter. Hopefully, she likes the smell of corndogs, otherwise you might not make it to the first quarter.

The new face of the college in Oxford: Age-indeterminate Ms. Rebellious Metrosexual African-American Ursas.

I'm hoping you're right about the best College Gameday game of the day -- and I'm hoping it comes out right.

Auburn is even more mascot-challenged than Ole Miss.

Moogie, War-Tiger-Eagle is actually a pretty good mascot, if you ask me. What would tougher than a Tiger-Eagle?

Y'all do realize that if Vandy -- yes, the 1-2 in the East, got beat 43-0 Satursay Vanderbilt Commodores, that Vandy -- wins out, they still win the SEC East, right?

They is something really screwy going on in college football.

If I was a Democrat, I'd blame Bush.

Skunkfeathers, did you see that Auburn scored 28 points in the fourth quarter? Dude, it was back and forth all game, then WHAM! Right in the Hogs' mouth. Bizarre.

Basil, you and I must have commented about the same time. My head is still not clear enough to go THINK about what happened yesterday, but the one thing that I was thinking about last night was that Oregon would be the new uSCCC at least until the real uSCCC could be uSCCC again. ESPN had it set up with tOSU and Oregon at 1 & 2. Then tOSU blew it.

Wham! Right in the Hgs' mouth. I couldn't better describe what the officiating team did myself. I'm usually a pretty good sport about losing if I'm beaten, but I don't take kindly to being beaten while I'm being held from behind by guys in stripes.

I seem to recall a similar experience last year in the Arkansas - Florida game and the officiating team was subsequently suspended. Apparently they didn't learn their lesson from being placed in time-out, so I think this year it's time to bring out a little tar, a few feathers, and a giant-sized can of whoopass. Not to mention a whopping cash fine. The SEC can direct that the fine be paid to me to assuage my pain and suffering. I'll be happy to step up and do that for my Alma Mater.

It was sweet indeed, however, to watch the Fearsome Buckeyes go down in flames.

That Cam Newton is the real deal, Florida should have kept him...send him to a JC and then brought him back for that laptop incident.

Urban Meyer's team would be undefeated and ranked #1 in Newton in there. But oh well.

Florida just fell of the cliff, good bye dynasty. The funny part is that if they just kept Cam, this would have two back to back titles with him. The guy is better than Teebow, he has the highest passer rating in the conference. And he is much better in the open field. Never thought I would see a player out Teebow, Teebow.

Now if only Auburn had a better defense.

So, now it looks like Boise State will be number one soon (Oregon loses to some other pretender later this season). And stay that way until whoever wins the SEC West and the title game (Alabama/Auburn/LSU over USC) beats them by 38 points in January.

Boise State won't hold at #1....the strength of schedule will eventually drop them.

Plus they have a tought game at Nevada, which they can lose.

Moogie, I wasn't watching the game too closely, but it was back and forth until the Barn's 28 point fourth. What the Hell happened?

Basil, I think that they have to give it to Oregon, the new uSCCC.

Roderick, you are coming to see the superiority of the SEC and the hilarity that is BSU ever getting ranked.

Mainly, the score is the result of a dramatic lack of defense by both teams, and both teams fielding secondaries from a junior high somewhere in Montana. Then, to add insult to injury, the officials totally blew a Hog fumble-recovery/TD review, claiming that the call on the field was an Auburn TD when the only signal given was fumble recovery by the Hogs. "No indisputable evidence" would've stripped Auburn of 7 points, given us the ball, and not screwed with the momentum. Multiply that by at least 2 more blown reviews and you have a dispirited team with its starting QB sidelined by a concussion. Second stringer Tyler Wilson did a dang good job, though.

Not exactly, just realizing the superiority of Cam Newton.
