My Most Important Post EVER!

Tonight I met a most interesting individual that is an integral part of the effort to provide comfort to my friends and neighbors on the Coast. No, not the "Redneck Riviera". I'm gonna whup your ass, Joe Scarborough.

While the conversation was very short, I did have the opportunity to shake hands and actually talk to one of the many heroes that has done his duty to save and protect Americans. No rank or serial number here. My new hero's name is Kurt, who serves his country and mine with the 347th Rescue Wing from Moody Air Force Base in Valdosta, Georgia.

His wing is the ONLY Combat Search and Rescue Wing in the Air Force. Their mission is to organize, train, and employ a combat-ready, HC-130, HH-60 rescue wing consisting of 3,400 military and civilian personnel.

Here's what they have done since Hurricane Katrina attacked my friends at the Coast: they have rescued 4167 fellow Americans from the devastation. Over four thousand! They have finally, tonight, taken a break from busting their asses to save folks and kick back to enjoy a beer and a football game. (Actually, I don't think they had the beer.)

If one more person (Michael Moore) says another bad thing about these men and women in uniform, you are going to need Kurt and his boys to rescue you from me. Remember they are COMBAT Search and Rescue and it will take all of their know-how and equipment to pry my foot from your ass. It seems that they ONLY have 3637 active-duty personnel at Moody and I swear it will take every one of them and the Jaws of Life to stop what I am going to do to you.

I salute you guys and gals at the 347th. Keep up the excellent work and may G_d bless you and keep you safe. Thank you for your service.
