Democrats SUCK at Math

Just watch.

This is really simple to understand, even for Juan Williams. If the tax cuts in place now EXPIRE, the rates return to the level that was in place before these tax rates were passed. This is a TAX HIKE in the same realm of the Bill Clinton tax hikes from 1993.

Only ONE thing can happen when everyone takes that HUGE hit. The economy will continue deeper into the Democrat caused depression.

That raise that you were expecting this next year? You better keep your mouth shut and hope that you still have a job.

This Obamanomics Thingy reminds me of the Carternomic fiasco of the 1970s.

Dude, plant a damned garden, already.

Please take the time to comment.

Bush signed the temporary tax cut bill. He signed it.

Why didn't Bush shutdown the gov't until he got a real PERMANENT tax cut bill??? One word and it starts with a p.

Bush put these temporary tax cuts into place, he meant them to be temporary otherwise he would not have signed it..right? When Clinton raised taxes in 1993 it was permanent, see the difference. One guy is a puss and the other is not.

With this new republican contract with America, why are they not talking about shutting down gov't. Big talk but no action. Either Obama gives us what we want or we will simply shutdown the gov't, period. I guess that is not very mature is it, maturity requires more talk less action.

Do you ever get tired of the talk, but never no action...seriously? Name one politician that is talking about shutting it down and following through? Even Bunning eventually punked out, like a little school girl.

Roderick, unlike some folks, I never bothered to read the NEW! and IMPROVED! Republican contract because they already had one that they should have followed. If they would have followed through with the one they had in 1994, we would have never come to this point.

Dude, watch a You Tube of Chris Christie. There are some folks out there that have the guts to do what is needed. He actually told the Jersey State House if they wanted to shut down the government, to do it. He was going back to the guv's mansion and order a pizza.

They don't have the intestinal fortitude to shut it down. They just pass some stinkin' little continuing resolution to keep payroll afloat and go home. I'd love to clone about a gazillion iterations of Christie.

If you think the failure to renew the Bush tax cuts will have disastrouis effects, just wait until the estate taxes kick back in after the first of the year, also due to congressional inaction. Bye-bye small businesses, family farms, and all the jobs tat go along with them.

Y'll don't seem to remember the last time the government was shut down? The GOP came out of that looking awful. Now, they're trying to turn the tables so that if there is a shutdown, it'll be the Democrats that will look responsible ... and look bad.

About those temporary tax cuts... keep in mind that Congress passes bills, and the president either signs them or vetoes them. And, if Congress passes a temporary tax cut, the president can either sign it, or veto it. If the veto holds, we get no tax cut. Surely, that's not what Roderick is suggesting should have happened, is it?

Basil, I think that Roderick is saying that the Republicans could have made them permanent from the jump. And I think that you give the media too much leeway when you say that the Democrats will be held responsible for the shut down. The Democrats were responsible for the last one and the Republicans STILL got blamed.
